I can’t begin to describe the sense of pride that I have for our great country because of people like you. Just know sir, that you are truly a hero. I personally want to extend my eternal gratitude to you and to all who have served our great nation. We are forever in your debt, the debt of which is without question, immeasurable.

No DW, I did not serve in the military. <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Vietnam was coming to an end and registration for the draft had also ended the year that I graduated high school. My mother was terrified about me serving and so I did not. I wished that I had volunteered even as my 3 uncles (my mom’s brothers) from Tennessee volunteered back in WWII. Looking back on my life, and knowing what I know now, it would have been an honor and a privilege to serve.
I consider myself in good company here on this message board. Ignited, I believe, mentioned that he too was a pilot. One thing I know about pilot’s…..smart and fearless.
Thank you again,
Best Wishes to you and your family.

BTW…..Great move Desert-Weary…..(not the Kingside Castling) but rather the service to our country ;-)
