Agreed in most respects. The only supposition in your post that I have a problem with is that some few shareholders benefit more than others from the dividends. IMO, not possible. All shareholders benefit equally, each based on the size of the their investment and the risk they've assumed.
The divys. I don't like 'em and haven't from the first. iImean, it was nice to get some money, better there were far better potential uses.
Turley is a younger guy, probably with younger guy attitudes. Hopefully this will translate into a new, better attitude about issuing dividends. Like STOP!
And think of this, Turley has been put in the driver's seat of a company for him to build. Opportunity time! How to best use all this money to build a company.....? Though Pohl stated a policy re: divys going forward, there's a new sheriff in town. I strongly suspect and hope that the divy policy is dead. If not, the divys will probably be minimal in order to meet policy while not significantly draining available resources.
But I KNOW nuttin'!
