Interesting how this OT threat developed, and how some people react to it.
My great aunt had three brothers in 1941. The youngest, Joseph, was killed on Omaha Beach (about five steps in). Her oldest brother (I think Francis) stepped on a mine and was killed in Italy in early 1945. Here third brother was shell shocked in France and never recovered. He died about ten years ago in a home for the insane in Michigan. Anna (my aunt) is still alive at 97.
Some sacrificed more than their share. Think how fortunate we all are.
