Thank you for the excellent posts that have been occurring the past couple of days. This is a trying time for us and I think the real truth is coming out. We must get USPTO approval and get this behind us. With the House action, this is becoming clearer and clearer. The politicians that are supporting us need to be energized and the powers on our side need to sucker punch these big boys into submission. It is obvious this will take a national campaign.

Their arguement: Bill Gates/Steve Jobs would be look at how much cheaper we can make your cost if we can ignore patents. This is classic MMP screwing where they stole these patents for nothing. The patent systems in Asia are a joke. They copy everything and anything. There innovation is the ability to steal what another man or company spent thousands of hours developing.

Pretty soon, Jobs will put this iphone out for $50 and the world will progress. The $$$ for them is that Jobs will send them over to China and they will mass produce the iphone for $10 and rake in gigantic profits. I am not saying he stole any patents in the creation of the iphone, but wouldn't it be nice in the future if he didn't have to worry about reconfiguring someone elses hard work and just take it? If you are selling billions of them around the world, the profit margin can be small and you are still a trillionaire. Investors realize this and they buy this stock like it is going out of style. Jobs and Gates are using the free enterprise system to break the backs of democratic societies emerging. You can't think much about anything if you are making $3 a day. Democracy and freedom is the last thing you are thinking about when you are starving all the time. What they realize is that if they can cut out the little man, they control all innovation. Guys like Gates and Jobs will control a large part of the world (power, even greater motivation than greed is behind this where they can control and dictate the way things will happen)and we will all dance to their tune. The oil companies are doing it now, technology of all types including BIO etc is the next area of attack. Manor you are 100% correct. They want capitalistic socialism rather than capitalism. They are developing a new model. What are they doing in the universities and colleges R&D:

1. Tax write off

2. Cheap R&D to develop products through which they can make millions.

Think about this, what if a few of these power brokers get together like Gates and Jobs (Gates pulled him off death row and revitalized Apple) got together and decided they could control the world and you think this is a pipe dream? People like this already have the foreigners working at slave wages in manufacturing centers throughout Asia. Africa will probably be next if they can establish an educational system in there.

Some of this doesn't sound so bad does it? Hell yes it does! I am not saying these men are evil because thet are not but they will defeat the American Way by in essence, establishing disincentives for the development of innovation unless it is under their label. They can crush the little man as easily as you can crush an ant.

However, we are free people, we are not going to allow ourselves to be anyones slaves. When Charles Moore and millions like him took the highest risk that anyone can take by spending thousands and thousands of hours trying to develop a new invention and then someone just takes it which has occurred over the past 10 years by hundreds of companies worldwide: THAT IS THE FAILURE IN THE CURRENT PATENT LAW! What else can you call it but criminal activity of the highest order. Sean Connery was once asked on 60 minutes what he considered to be the gravest sin that man commits? His answer was" To me the worst thing that a man can do to another man is steal from him. The person who has there goods stolen is defeated. All his hard work and toil is ripped from his fingers and his soul is defeated." (not an exact quote) This is the serious business of patent infringement. We are becoming an immoral/amoral society and this propagates more of the same. "Thou shalt steal and defeat your brothers life is the new commandment". All of the commandments of God provided by Moses are being run over by leaders that value the dollars of the lobbyist over the people they are serving. The new mantra should be "tax and spend on lobbyists" rather than "tax and spend liberals". That's right, they work for the lobbyist and believe me their remuneration is great (Duke Cunnigham got caught but thereis plenty more on the same dole). All of those supporting this bill are at the beck and call of the lobbyist supporting them. If Gates et al have their way, they will control R&D for America and the little man will have no choice but to go to work for them. This monopolistic behavior at the enth degree and our legislators are going to pass this law as Gates and Company want to develop the same control as the oilmen over our national economy. Our world becomes more dangerous everyday. Our culture is being attacked from both outside and from within. Now is the time to let your Senators/Congressmen know that you have had it with them cowtowing to the BIG Business thieves before it is too late.

What I have said here is not a refined arguement but off the top of my head based on what I perceive is written on our board and in the news. It seems to be passing without hardly a mention on USA Today. I do not know about other news outlets. Generally I only blog here and on USA Today under another moniker. I expect some disagreement and some agreeing. Everyone has the right to their opinion as an American citizen as long as you are not cruel in treating another human being about their opinion. Contrary opinions are most welcome. This is how I learn. I intensely dislike being serious about this or talking politics but the bastags have penetrated our PTSC too. The reason all of a sudden that this has become so important is as easy to find as the nose on your face, someone has a lot to gain with this enactment; also someone has a lot to lose. Everybody on this Board just suffered a major loss yesterday. We have some ASS kicking to do.
