That's where you've got it all wrong. Acknowledgment/acceptance is NOT denial. Some of us are adult/mature enough to understand the past and present situations, acknowledge them, accept them and perservere with the belief that good will indeed come.

With your "definition" of denial, every taxpayer in the good ole USA is in denial. "Gosh, we're going to have to pay taxes, but I choose to deny that fact". No, we accept and acknowledge that fact.
