IMO, especially if you are considering "taking a little off the table" in the very near term: we are in negotiations (most lilely) with three defendants. When we hear of a settlement, it will probably be with just one of the defendants at a time (i.e., I seriously doubt all would settle in one day). So two to go... Then after the second one caves, there's still one more (and then game over). So, in planning for "taking some off the table", one should be mindful of this probable scenario, and consider holding out till the third one signs for maximum returns.
Coupled with this, IMO, is the high probability that if one caves, ultimately all will cave.
I may be pointing out the obvious here, but.....
