Obviously one of those times I should have just kept my mouth shut! (apologies to all).

The basic question is a real poser.  Who in their right mind is selling NOW?

As I said in my last post (to ads - same subject), there could be something to teremoto's conjecture.

Could be daytraders, just playing momentum/trend.  But I KNOW there are a lot of better daytrading candidates out there (especially in this market).

Could be MMs, but as I've opined before, this really isn't the MM's bag.  I believe they focus more on making money by driving the bid/ask.

The ONLY other logical explanation (other than S&L continuing to sell for whatever reason you chose) would be tax loss selling by those not "on top of" what's going on here.  I suspect few investors dedicate the attention we poor souls do!  Or maybe they are cognizant, but don't think big stuff is going to happen for at least 31 days.

The selling is bizarre to say the least.  Who, why, and why NOW?  And we'll probably never KNOW (except if it is S&L, it'll show up in the financials).

But the way I have tried to look at it, assuming it is indeed S&L, is that the fewer shares they have left to mess with us when the big news comes - the better.  And as others have suggested, when the big news comes, the volume will absorb S&L's shares (if they're selling).  I hope they're at under 10M!

You guys were right to call me out on this.

This I KNOW!

SGE
