Here is a thought.

 

What if the J's get a NDA, but our PR went out stating "Settlement brings total Quarter Dollars to umpteen hundred million".  This statement would only mean the J's dollars were included with other licencees within that quarter.  I'm sure they will have some others deals in the works that could be finished at a moments notice.
