And could they be asking the court to rule on some kind of limitation on the damages?

The Defendants knew the amount of damages being sought before seeking the joint motion to stay.

 

Seems to be taking Judge Ward a long time to rule on the motion.  I suspect it is not an easy one to rule on. 

The Plaintiff has 10 days, I believe, to respond to a sealed motion.
