I guess I am not fully aware of what those "constrictions" are.  And regarding the gain/loss I was thinking more in terms of buying low now (knowing the 'info') and then using those shares later after considerable appreciation to buy/invest in another entity. Just seems inherently nefarious in a potentially explosive situation like this, but then again I think I am missing the boat here so end of discussion; more important matters shaping up.
