I understand what you are saying, but let's assume PTSC is viewed as "losing" and the remaining companies settle for $ 20MM each. (I'll assume this is what the settement here was per individual company).

half to PTSC; half to TPL.

 $ 10MM x (assume only 300 companies... well short of the target list) = $ 3,000MM ( $ 3,000,000,000 ).

For $ 20MM per company, considering the amount of $$$$$$$$$ spent by the J3 to fight to this point, only to settle before going to trial... will the MARKET view this as a "win", even though it appears in court (justice system) as a loss?
