As I think our justice system isn't really set up for justice in civil cases like this, it's hard to truly "win" unless you go the distance and get a 100% favorable ruling with big bucks attached.  Anything less, and each side will be able to claim a victory to some extent. With that in mind, settlement allows each side to spin their claim of a victory more than a less than perfect litigation would, so I think a decent settlement $100M or more, and the market will take that as a win for PTSC/TPL.  $50 to $100M and probably a neutral, ie priced in, less than $50M, and I think it'll be looked at as a loss to TPL/PTSC.
