I have just spent a couple of hours wading through 24 hours worth of posts, hoping to discover some helpful information on this topic.

I have been an E-trade customer for over ten years. The one reason for using an online broker is to avoid having to talk to anyone when making trades.

I find restrictions like this to (imho) to border on market manipulation. I am sure there are others, who, like me, won't bother to call the broker to make that BUY. This reduces demand.

This morning I sent an E-mail message to E-trade, announcing that I would begin searching for a new brokerage firm. I also transferred out all of my free cash to my checking account.

I searched throughout todays posts for mention of firms that you folks have not had to deal with trading restriction. Only a couple of posts mentioned anything.

Although not directly related to PTSC, I would ask for comments that might help guide E-trade users to a good online brokerage firm that allows unrestricted trading in our favorite stock.
