I certainly hope you are right. But I have one sticking point that just keeps bothering me. The wording in the settlement announcement did not include the normal "license", but rather a "Business Resolution" and "Granted Certain Rights".
I would respectfully refer you to the PTSC PR where it states,
Since January 2006 over 30 global companies from the US, Europe, Japan, Korea and Taiwan have purchased MMP Portfolio licenses
and ask you to do the math. If you can find where the additional licensees came from(excluding those named in the "Business Resolution")then I will join you in your concerns.
If I am a new potential licensee I would want to know what that meant, and if you are going to tell me anyway, why not be more specific in the first place?
I'm more than sure that Alliacense are competent in dealing with new licensees eg Verigy.
Finally, "Granted Certain Rights", indicates that the Defendants are now able to use something that they previously were not legally able to do, the MMP Portfolio, perhaps?
