As with the '584, most of the USPTO prior art on the '148 is using INMOS material from the 80's. The following link is comparative:

I believe that the response to the '336 is equally valid for the '148, where applicable. It seems that the examiner has done a search on relevant terms and subsequently used ones that appear to fit, without actually using a person of ordinary understanding from the 80's to qualify the terms. It is not like-for-like and I still believe that it is therefore incommensurable.
