Ths difference is in the number of shares the earnings are spread over: basic primary shares, or the number of fully diluted shares. In the post made by ease, you can see 381mm shares on the basic computation and 410mm on the fully diluted number of shares.
The fully diluted computation became a requirment in the accounting realm in in the last 10 or 20 years, I think --- can't remember for sure any more.
