Great minds .....root for the Steelers.....er think alike! You must have read my mind as I just posted a similar sentiment to airpilikia.
Even though I didn't really make that clear in my response to Deb, I agree that a straight percentage based on annual revenues is misleading as there are other (in some cases predominately other) aspects of the product base of those companies that contribute to generating that revenue. However, since most of the licensees to date have been predominately electronics companies, I do think they probably infringe over a larger percentage of their product offering than say an auto maker that has so many other costly components that make up the car, versus just the microprossesors that might infringe.
Point taken though I'd argue that HP at $31M or so got off fairly cheaply for being the number one revenue generated from electronics company in the world.
