It would really be helpful if you could provide links to that info you've posted re: location of patent files for the '148, '584 and '336. Not that I don't believe you, but because everyone here will want to confirm accuracy.

Why? Because I did some resaerch last night to confirm that what Deb posted yesterday was correct. It is.

Here's the info with links to USPTO:

Repository(Franconia) is one of two USPTO warehouses (long term storage). This pertains to '336 file location. The file would likely go there after the Records Room.

Now check this out re: Ex Parte Re-exams:

(C) Patent File Location Control for Patents Not Available on IFW, i.e., Available Only in Paper File - The movement of >paper< patent files related to requests for reexamination throughout the Office is monitored by the PALM system in the normal fashion.
**>The< patent file will be charged to the examiner assigned the reexamination file and will be kept in the examiner's *>office< until the proceeding is concluded. After the reexamination proceeding has been
concluded, the patent file should be forwarded with the reexamination file to the Office of Patent Legal Administration for review (see MPEP ยง 2289) and then
to the Office of Publications. The Office of
Publications will forward the patent file ** to the Record Room after printing of the certificate.

So the file stays with the examiner until the re-exam is concluded.... Check that last sentence....

http://www.uspto.gov/web/offices/pac...

'336 moved to Repository(Franconia).

'148 & '584 moved to Record Room.

All within the last couple/few of weeks.

Where are the friggin' Certs? The reporting from USPTO (PALM)?

Where's the PR from Alliacense? Where's the 8K from PTSC?

We need that link/confirmation, Eggbert. This would not only validate my speculation that USPTO re-exams are nearly done - it would indicate that they are complete, on all three patents, as of 4/25/08 (?) or sooner.

This may be huge. But it prompts a bunch of questions, as noted above.

This I KNOW!
