This is rather interesting.

I believe you are among the camp that believes that nothing more is coming from the Js. Why? Because, per your interpretation, the company has stated such in letters to shareholders.

But then you blatantly state that the statement was "....an example of misleading information that lawyers (pohl is one) use to their advantage". You think no lawyers were involved in the preparation of those letters? And even if not lawyers, people witty enough to use language to their advantage?

And to say such things about lawyers.....

1) Bad/dishonest lawyers may mislead via the language they use.

2) Good/honest lawyers may mislead via the language they use to protect certain interests for the "greater ultimate good".

3) Good/honest lawyers, with no interests to protect, write in a very deliberate fashion such that there is virtually no room for mis-interpretation.

However, in the example you cite, IMO Pohl was stating his honest belief. At that time, there was really no reason to believe otherwise. And such statements were coupled with warnings of possible/probable "volitility".

And most here hope that, ultimately, money will be coming in (via the MMP) on a regular basis. There were unpredictable delays not contemplated when his statements were made, IMO.

IMO, lawyers get a bad rep because of the few, not the majority. But those few get the attention, right or wrong, and all become the object of ridicule and the butt of many jokes, etc. It comes with the profession.

And it's just like almost any profession. Traveling salesman, apparently adept to car breakdowns near remote farmhouses occupied by overly protective fathers of attractive, lonely daughters. Mechanics, who somehow fix one problem that generates multiple unrelated problems. And doctors are all a bunch of quacks, routinely amputating the wrong leg. Insurance salesman, police, accountants, marketing people, the IRS..... Who's left?

Okay, there is that one profession - politicians..... LOL

JMHOs,

SGE
