I notice the repeat conjecture about what really happened with the J2.5. Not complaining, as I have been known to voice my own thoughts on related possibilities.

While I have my doubts about the relevance of the LG/Quanta case to what may have happened, I'm compelled to repeat another old question of mine that may shed some light: how many licensees since the J2.5 settlement use Intel, AMD, or HP (or other prior licensee) chips? How many since the ruling in the LG/Quanta case? If the answer is "none", then the theory may hold water. Otherwise, not so much, IMO. Just a way of "backing in" to an answer to the overall question of LG/Quanta relevance/possible impact on the J2.5 settlement. Not an absolute answer (as usual), but maybe some light shed.....

FWIW,

SGE
