I just can't see the USPTO completing a 2 year re-exam on a patent and then deciding to start a new one. Something like that could only happen to Patriot - LOL!

It's painfully obvious what's going on here - no one wants to pay up and as a result, there are many out there attempting to stop this patent from becoming active again. I would assume that the USPTO runs into this type scenario on a frequent basis.
