First of all Amigator you are very well written and I agree with you on many occasions… I am not as well written as you but I will do my best to get my point across… First I think we need to clarify one point and I did this research awhile ago trying to understand the MM’s… One item we must clarify to move forward an MM may own shares or not own shares when he completes a transaction… I think you would agree that PTSC is thinly traded so when P1 wants 1500 shares thier may not be enough shares to sell… So MM’s are permitted to 1 own shares… MM’s are also permitted to naked short shares (quote below with the link)…. My statement I believe is true…MM’s can make money two ways… one by the spread…. Two by the movement of the price when they have naked short shares or bought shares… To get past our disagreement we must agree that an MM can hold shares to help make the market and can short shares… it makes sense that the MM has shares to help make trades… please reply agree or disagree… I will find additional information about MM’s holding shares ( I did post this about a years ago)….

The other Item you must understand is the MM’s for the BB stockes DO NOT run under the same rules as the NAZ … ( I posted this info before too…. I will find it if you disagree)

Now for some theory…

Remenber when someone buys a seller may or may not be their… the seller could also be an MM..(naked short… I believe the FTD list gets populate on 7 day late.. So MM’s have 4 days to no cover a postion)

If a single MM is the only market maker and he owns shares which direction is going to want it to go???? If a Market maker is short shares which way is going to want ti to go…..

How many times have we seen head fakes… 2 or three cent run-ups… then back down…

As far as the spread…

If noticed @ the end of a run-up they will bring the ask up to BID so they are able to sell shares they have for the maximum price…

The other item is their would have to be is some type of understanding between the MM’s… (I am not talking about the individual stock holder who want to buy).. Have you ever watched L2 and BIDs & ASK go off and on or appear and disappear… have you seen trades that sit…. sit

You remember years before when the price would start to move before news…

When swartz & friends where selling… my guess it was through one MM do you think the MM shorted the stock??? He can!!!

Amigator please re-read the above…My expectation is I will not change your mind… But I am hoping you will just say it is possible for stock manipulation… I am aware MM is at risk if news comes out and he is on the wrong side,,,

The final item was not going to talkm about but will… PTSC does trade after 4:15 4:30… When we had some big news I have L2 & streamer… several hundrted thousand shares traded in the after hours… Just like shorting if you try through TD or E trade you will not be able too…. However PTSC ever month has shares short… You buy soft ware and service to get you connected to NITE and many of the other MM’s … so yes anyone with access can trade after hours BB stocks… and yes most of the time the market is thin and risky…..( If you think this is untrue just reply back I will find this link... I spent too much time on this post but have repect for your post and will find it if you wish!!!)
