My exposure to the patent re-examination process is isolated to what I follow regarding PTSC. I have no other experience with respect to that.
That being said, it seems based on what has transpired with the '584 and others, and based on the comparative entries in other similarly re-examined patents, I'd be very surprised if this were not the end of the road for the process on the '584. It was valid in its previous form, and this amended form, considering it's emerging after re-exam and after an additional petition had been filed, seems to indicate that the USPTO is validating it once and for all. It seems now, the only trick will be proving infringment. That's my opinion for what it's worth.
