Any thoughts on the glaring absence of any comment by the CEO in today's PR? Seems like an important enough decision by the company that it warranted a PR, yet the CEO doesn't make a commnet. And the hire is attributed to just the "audit committee" rather than the "company on advice of the audit committee" or something to that effect.

Perhaps I'm trying too hard to read the tea leaves, but is this type of hire done by a committee rather than a company, and does the committee typically do so outside the CEO?
