"Not to knit pick you but REALLY all we know is that TPL & PTSC are SAYING that the fees are escallating. As you're aware, they've been saying as much for years, but in fact the opposite has been true, so, while based on current events, I'm inclined to believe them this time, we don't yet KNOW it, nor do I think the market accepts it yet. When they can PROVE that it's true, I think we'll see a much more amplified response from the market."

If these companies are billion dollar companies as you say, coupled with the bold portion of the Alliasence PR shown below, then it would appear that the rates have in fact gone up significantly, otherwise these billion dollar companies would pay a one time lump sum. Alliasence has never used this language before in other PR's other than as a threat but this is a statement of fact that rates have increased. Time will tell how much.

The new licensees include Harman International, TPV Technology, and Textron Inc., and will result in both upfront and future payments, as the increasing rates of the MMP Licensing Program has made onetime, lump-sum licenses too expensive for some companies.
