"But recommend PTSC to someone who isn't an owner of any shares yet, friend or stranger? I don't think so."

I have a good friend who introduced me to PTSC June 2005. He was one of PTSC's biggest advocates. At one time he had about 400K shares. He got me and many others into this stock. He sold all of shares last December as he like many shareholders got frustrated after the J3 settlement. Several days ago I was talking with him, and I asked, have you seen the great news regarding PTSC and the "336 recert? He replied, yes, and I will never invest in PTSC again (I am editing out his exact words). Couple days later, bam, RG and 2 others ousted. I have been avoiding him. (:

This is the problem with this stock. Too many investors have lost faith. IMO it isn't this board or what is said on this or other boards, it is PTSC's fault, plain and simple. I look back, read Pohl's, Turley's, and RG's statements, and I feel mislead. All I want to know is what is real and what isn't. I think we as shareholders deserve this.

Is the right course of action hiring a shareholder rights attorney? I don't know. The only experience I have with this, and I won't get into all the details, is a friend who hired an attorney to force the stock appraisal value of a company he was invested in. In summary, he owned stock in a company that was trading at $80/share, and management accepted a non-solicited buy out offer of $25/share. Seems straight forward...right? My friend won the lawsuit, but it cost over $2mil. The suit is now being appealed. So, I have my doubts that $50K - $70K would get us very far, but who knows. I am not an expert in this area.

I would like to know if PTSC audits TPL's expense statements. But, even if they do, who is to say it is accurate. Has anyone on this board ever participated in eDiscovery for a lwasuit? I have, several times for class action lawsuits, and I can tell you that it is a very laborious process, with many IT professionals, IT security/forensic specialists, and lawyers. I have to believe that TPL spends a lot of time reverse engineering identified infringers products to prove infringement. Probably much more time than I have spent on the few lawsuits I have participated on. So, if there is/was an audit performed, who on the PTSC payroll could validate the # of hours spent? No one that I am aware of, but I could be wrong. Could PTSC hire an outside firm to audit the expense reports, yes they could, but that gets expensive too. And who knows, maybe they are performing audits, and if so, a simple confirmation from management would go along way....at least for me.

I am not saying I know the answers here, because I don't. I guess what I am saying with this late night I am beat had a long day rambling, is that I agree with Fatwollit, discussion is what this board is for. I am on the fence on this one, and I appreciate many of the well thought out posts on the subject to make me think hard here. Wolf, Brian, Borredo, Milestone, Fat, GE, Lamberts, Bushleague, Tucci, 1Rare1, and more, I appreciated your posts today. I sure wish FutTheWuk was around, as I consider him to be very knowledgable in this area and would like to hear his views as well.

Anyways, sorry for the late night ramble. Good night, and good luck everyone!
