It would appear now that the examiner did indeed have responses to all office actions before the merge of 90/008227 and 90/010562.

The latest Nov 23rd response is not the orginal reply to office action but a supplemental amendment. That tells me that the there has been some discussion regarding the responses and the latest amendment is reflection some possible agreement.

I use the term agreement because the amendment is to reinstate claim 9 as it was originally.

Sounding good to me
