Appreciate very much your DD and came across details in the (app. 90/008,227) Applicant Summary of Interview with examiner dated Mar. 27, 2009 that indicates much discussion about what the term "processing unit" means and how it relates to the prior art. It is beyond me but perhaps it would help (if you haven't seen it already) in your speculation and look forward to any analysis you may have.
