Seems to border on bashing. Perhaps it will be deleted?

However, while TPL may be paying the bills, I believe the operations at the USPTO are well handled by our patent attorney. So, at least in this area, I think you assessment is wrong.

If there is any attempt at contacting the examiner, it is simply to determine whether we are starting from scratch all over again, starting at some point further down the road, or if the starting point is already quite near the end of the road. That's about all we could hope to ascertain. IMHO.
