Just what is going to make hundreds of companies come forward and pay?
Fear of what? TPL's threats havn't exactly resulted in hundreds of companies flocking to license have they? Why don't these companies settle now for much less if they are so scared? I don't think they fear TPL's legal team even with revalidated patents and a victory in California. They know that TPL can't take all of them to court. If they do they can always settle for less before trial.
Don't get me wrong there is nothing I would rather see than waves of companies licensing for big bucks. I just think that in the real world we will not see it. For years now I have read and contributed to posts that contained inflated expectations, only to be dealt the disapointing reality. I just think that anyone believing in these companies fearing TPL is dreaming.
