Not strange at all - TPL will do whatever they can to clear the path for success in collecting revenue for the MMP. If TPL thinks the path of least resistance is giving Barco a pass and hiring their lawyers, then that's the path they'll take.

Legal posturing and tactics are often not understood by they lay person. That's why these litigators make so much money. It's all a game and it's their game. I would (and you should) listen keenly to a litigator with 28 years experience on a matter like this. I have peripherally worked with litigators for over 10 years and I still don't understand many of their actions. They understand the game they're playing very well because there's often a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$ at stake.
