You are not alone. I too believe that it is about other things, perhaps license fee amounts (resolution i). I'll spare you a repeat as to what I think resolution (ii) is about!

I come to this conclusion for several reasons, but the bottom line is "where is the greatest potential impact".

The dollars associated with allocation of marketing expenses are relatively small (a few thousand per license IF it is happening at all, and IF they can prove it).

The dollars associated with what you suggest, license fee amounts - whether our license was sold alone or in a bundle with other portfolio licenses - could easily be impacted by millions per instance (if TPL was "rushing a deal" or playing games).
