Earlier this week, I wrote to Greg Baroni. Among other things, I asked him if he would consider being nominated for the board. If he responds, I will report back to this board.

Yesterday, I spoke with someone in the Patent Commissioner's office about timelines. We addressed the MPEP which states that reexams are supposed to be handled with special dispatch (which means we are long over due for a first office action) vs. the stats which say 7.8 mos to first office action. He said he would do some research on this and get back to me today or tomorrow. I will report back if he does contact me. My guess is that he probably will say the 7.8 is just an average and so we must be patient. I felt the need to address it at a higher level.
