Obviously,you are correct when you say a large percentage does not vote...my point is give all of the shareholders an opportunity to see their vote mean something...rather than having an elected official who can serve with one vote FOR and millions AGAINST. and IMO many more will vote...either way.
If you think many didn't vote just out of apathy rather than many not voting when they know whatever they opt for, the current nominees will still hold office...then you and I must repectfully disagree.
Give any person the chance/opportunity to make his/her vote count for something and I predict many more votes will be cast ...whether it be FOR or AGAINST...people will act when they feel their actions count for something.
And even with that paltry percentage voting...like I posted...just a few percent swaying from For to Against and a majority of our BOD would not have a favorable backing.
