Agreed.
As you've probably noted, my biggest concern with your suggested item 1. about term limits and thereby immediately dumping (upon adoption of that initiative) three long-time BoD members, opening three BoD seats is "who do you replace them with" and "they cannot possibly be as familiar with the company as the incumbents", thus causing my suggestion to retain at least one of the "long-timers" - either Johnson or Gloria, the latter probably being preferred.
Replacing BoD members will be a far bigger issue than people recognize. Some here don't trust some current BoD members. Is there a solid reason why we should trust a replacement MORE? Some believe a certain BoD member has little to contribute (and I agree), is there a solid reason why we should believe a particular replacement, regardless of credentials, would contribute MORE? You must admit, it is a bit of a craps-shoot. But perhaps a worthwhile one!
I just throw that out there.... And, again, if your second item about simple majority vote were adopted, I do believe it is quite possible, if not probable, that one or two BoD members will be gone, possibly all three. The purpose of item one would be accomplished.
I actually surprise myself in addressing this because I don't expect to be here when the fruits of your efforts may be realized.
My hope, elevated since the Gloria email, is that PDSG will all get sold off (it appears CrossFlow/CDX is postured for purchase by HP - at a premium) with the possible exception of Holocom (no known suitors, profitable, capable of running itself), PTSC will transition in to more a revenue distribution enterprise, and only the absolute minimum BoD members will be retained (at minimal compensation). This is what was suggested as a potential, desireable outcome.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, COME ON PTO!!!
