The "minority shareholders" in this instance would be those NOT prepared to follow the advice of the BoD in accepting an offer for the MMP Portfolio which they believed undervalued its worth.

I believe that in your haste to post something, or anything, it was erroneously assumed "minority shareholders" meant those in alignment with the BoD, and I humbly suggest that in future the full thread be read, in context, to avoid similar mistakes.
