Message: Just curious why nobody thought the following was worth discussing

Seems to me that all this calculating of "missing licenses" was done prior to November 30, wasn't it? Wasn't it based on verbage in the PR's for licenses that were announced, the last one being Cummins in October? So now you think we've got all these other unannounced licenses that happened in December and early January?

As for the J3, I could see a scenario where they put a time limit on USPTO action - "if the patents survive reexamination without such and such changes occuring because of reexamination for 3 years, we'll pay you "x" amount of dollars. " That way, you're not trapped in the umlimited amount of reexams that can be requested. Seems like a reasonable compromise to me.
