You are either very lucky or learned you lesson elsewhere. The history of the market is full of people loosing their money right before their eyes, "not believing" what they are seeing.

My first jump into the market on something "I knew what I owned" was another agoracom darling..XYBR. I paid for that practical lesson, and learned from it. Unfortuately most amateur stock investors pay for that same lesson. Some get financially ruined (there was one agora poster that actually had to skip the country because he not onle mortgaged his house but opened credit lines and credit cards because he was so sure) , some with a tolerable loss.
