Upon reread, it would appear that we did lose the scope that would include conventional DMAs. Can anyone gauge the impact of that loss?????
One would think that if the DMA still relied on the main CPU that would tend to slow things down and the Technology would find its way toward more use of the court's construction of no reliance. It seems logical, but is it? Some reliance on the main CPU may not be significant enough to impact perfornace requiring the move to no reliance? Anyone?
