I have been in contact with someone who has hands on experience with the reverse engineering process as it relates to the MMP and who also attended the Markman hearing. I asked him to look at the pacer with the Markman results. The following is just an opinion of the Markman results. Disclaimer: that and $2 will buy you a cup of coffee
"US'749 was bolstered a lot because of the instruction pointer and US'336 looks very strong. They will continue to dither over what a Ring Oscillator is, and that may hurt claim 1 (I need to look at Talbot again), but that is negated by having a variable speed clock (Claim 10), which they all do. US'336 is the key, and it's looking very good. I didn't see anything on US'584, but maybe that is coming out later?
TPL lost on the DMA controller, but after hearing the arguments, it was expected, but US'890 wasn't a big factor anyway.
Anyway, this will give Acer and HTC pause to reconsider this fight"
