"He's doing his job. Managing Expectations. CEOs get in trouble when they overpromise and underdeliver so they tend to do the opposite. But that is just my opinion. I could be mistaken."

How does that work when he promises zero and delivers negative? Shouldn't that mean he's in trouble?
