a smart guess would partly require re-reviewing that Creditors list, and seeing to whom and how much of his debt is (might be) collateralized or lein protected. I plan to do that in a day or three. That said, I do not think this is only about his past debts and creditors list, I think we need to take a step back to see the bigger strategy here.

I have some suspicions as to what he (and others ?) might be attempting to achieve/avoid, but I'll hold off on publically sharing that at this point.
