if we beat the MSD. Is it possible the voltage controlled ring oscillator (VSRO) sometimes uses the external crystal clock to change the "control" voltage of the VSRO and other times it is allowed to run based on the "supply" voltage to the entire chip? What happens if the "control" voltage is fixed at the highest level possible so the VSRO runs at the fastest possible speed? The first question is the one that intrigues me but I'm a layman so what do I know. The first question would imply that the VSRO "sometimes" is controlled in the PLL based system and at other times it is not. When it is not controlled by the external clock, then it would infringe in this layman interpretation ifthat is even possible. I'll say it again, either thr ALJ is going to take the 100k foot view and say Moore and Fish disclaimed all reliance on an external crystal, or he will want to get to the nanometer level to see exactly how the circuits work and make a decision from there. Certainly a decision point. I'm hopeful all of this motion practice and preparation for trial in 7+ business days, along with expert schedules being repositioned, means we will get the nanometer analysis we desire. On a lighter note, did anyone see the "baloney" the Respondents lawyers wrote regarding Dr. Subramanian? "Chair in this council and participant in this council ... Bla bla bla". If someone can post the main file of filing 509563, you will see the humor I get from the statements. Obviously, any lawyer will take the opportunity to make a point at any moment, but this one was very transparent and humorous IMO.
