is the ALJ wanted to see if the parties could settle their dispute prior to rendering his decision. All of the settlement notifications appear to have been submitted today. There were no settlements. So I think there are a couple positions being taken by TPL and the Big Companies. I believe the positions are fairly straight forward given there hasn't been a settlement with anyone except Sierra Wireless, which was long before the case reached critical dates. So either TPL is being offered decent dollar amounts but realize they must obtain a ruling to minimize future legal fees and more importantly the life of the MMP is waning so an all or nothing approach must be adopted, or the Big Companies have an abundance of confidence the MSD will be granted, which I think is less likely, or they believe they will win at trial. I'm assuming now that the parties have not settled the judge will now render his decision on the MSD, hopefully early next week. Interesting times. I'm hoping not to be kicking myself given Freddie Mac has jumped 10 fold from early 2012.
