our chips are intentionally unsuitable for running ancient legacy software and manufacturers of mass commodity products are seldom interested in writing new software

The scene where the IBM execs casually told Bill Gates that he could keep his little software company, that the future in computing was in hardware.

May your company be 1/10 (even 1/1000th would be awesome) as successful as Microsoft.
