Are you saying that there is no connection between revenue (taxes) and the deficit (a currrent item of "concern" for the GOP)? I'm saying that the GOP, using reconciliation, passed two huge tax cuts (primarily for the wealthy) without cutting government expenses to pay for these cuts in revenue (creating a deficit). There was a book I read in college called There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch. Sort of applies here.
FYI - a Dem memo on reconciliation pretty much follows the article that I dug up.
PS I like you Bushleague and I am glad for you that you are in the top 1% in income that these bills primarily benefit. I am not as wealthy as you, which explains my self interest.
*Reminds me of dancin' Tom Delay's famous quote "Nothing is more important in the face of a war than cutting taxes." (primarily for the wealthy)
