all civil rights abolished, etc. etc. But then again, maybe that isn't far from your ideal America?
Civil rights abolished? I just want an equal playing field. I don't think a less qualified individual should be hired for a job solely because of their skin color or gender. One of my uncles had a construction business and anytime he bid on government jobs with a minority the government would select the minority's construction company over my uncles, even when my uncle underbid them. That is wrong in this country. And you love the ACLU and affrimative action. How racist and unamerican are these.
I want an America where we don't bring up what color you are period. This information disappears from all government forms. Where everyone no matter what religious background or race has an equal opportunity to pursue happiness and live their dream. I don't like affirmative action because it discriminates against white people. America should be living Martin Luther Kings dream to judge a man by the content of their charecter rather than the color of their skin.
"all government should be abolished"
Of course we need government. But it dosn't have to control every aspect of our lives and it can be much smaller, much more responsible and much less wasteful. Government should only be there for the basics. Government should let citizens keep more of the money they earned to do with it what they want. The free market system that we have had until recently has worked pretty well. It has built the most powerful country to set foot on the Earth. Why? because we are free to pursue our dreams. Look how many inventions have come from citizens with an idea in this country. How many jobs were created by these inventions.
Because I disagree with your views on priorities on government spending, etc. does not make me the wild-eyed liberal as you would paint me.
We needed health care reform. How great would the plan be if some of the Republican ideas were allowed in the plan such as tort reform and opening up insurance accross state lines to increase competition between insurance companies. How about a plan that the majority of the American people will support without the left ideology. Remember Obama said "his door is always open to ideas from any party, yet all letters from Republicans with suggestions fall on deaf ears.
Just what is it about the rediculous spending that you like? Tell me anything the Obama administration is actually doing well? Convince me how wonderful this guy is because I can't for the life of me see anything positive about what he has done so far. And don't tell me the economy is getting better. Some day we're going to have to pay for all this spending. Unfortunately our children and their children will bare the brunt of the spending spree this administration has performed.
