I see Reagan being assailed as an "out of work actor." Because I served 35 years in the USMC, I saw a number of Presidents come and go. I can proudly say I survived the Jimmy Carter reign and lived to see our military finally get a livable wage under Ronald Reagan. Under Carter, I saw a Marine Corps artillery regiment confined to the motor pool because we were out of money to buy fuel by the end of July and could not train. As a Lieutenant I had to buy toilet paper out of pocket at the PX so my Marines could have it in the barracks. Reagan was criticized for his military spending, but that is precisely how he won the cold war. He made the soviets spend money they didn't have to try to keep up. He did what Obama is trying to do to our economy and republic - he made the Soviet Union collapse under its own weight. Think about this - Desert Shield and Desert Storm would not have happened without the equipment President Reagan got for the military. Some of you I am sure don't consider any war as necessary, but Desert Storm was essential to our national security and Ronald Reagan made our success possible.
