I like the red/green voting system. It is nothing more than a popularity contest among people who care enough to vote. And that is a big help for me.

If the greens out-number the reds, fine. I'm more likely to look at it myself.

If the reds out-number the greens, fine. I'm more likely to pass and not waste my time.

That is all it is. If you like a posting that others are giving red votes, cast for green vote for it. The more votes of both colors cast, the better the system works.
