a newbie needs advice

I have been following the posts for several days, and decided I would buy this stock when trading resumed. I am new to trading and just found NOT last week. I think I have made a huge mistake and would like some advice from some of you. I started buying shortly after trading was opened today and ended up with 27,000 shares at an average cost of $3.72. That's not the mistake. The problem is that I put a stop loss in at the number I felt was the most loss I could stomach - $3.00 - and wouldn;t you know it, the sp touched just below that before it bounced back. So, I got stopped out and am down 18k. I still think this is a good investment, but I am really concerned about short term volatility.

Can someone hold my hand and and give me some input.

Thanks, Shortty
